Brain Research under FP7 - Do we need more?

There needs to be an ice breaker. It is a pity that this group is literally non-functional.

Metaanalysis versus Collaborative-Multi-centric research - what are your views?

Generally ethical issues in such projects are addressed by local ethical committees, which take into account the regional/local issues, priorities of research and trade off between burden of problem and the cost of research (both tangible and intangible). The general principles that govern ethical management in a researrch project are - minimizing the human and nature cost, following an unbiased study plan and keeping tabs on the economic costs of the project. This forum is here as we all want to address the problem in a more organized and scientific manner - keeping basic tenets of management i.e. planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling the research activity to have an ethical framework.

I'll take advantage of this group to launch a very broad question: is there any type of training or info events where they explain ETHICAL MANAGEMENT in FP7 project, or in any kind of R&D projects in the areas of ageing, einclusion, ehealth?

Ethical issues in scientific research, a great responsibility on RM&As, with a unit on Ethics in my Institution, an additional door of specialization has open to RM& As with such inclinations, Shouldn't a RMA be vast all round

I have experience through my career the state of academic research, which requires further transparency. As it is not an object oriented research hence it is often misleading. As a major proportion of preliminary studies are based on the findings of academic research - a transparent system is essential.
