Comment by John Donovan on February 25, 2011 at 1:58pm Hello,
I'm sorry but I won't be able to be in Brussels for this important discussion. However, in conjunction with the green paper it may be no harm to read the various national position papers on 'FP8' and identify elements of these papers that align with the green paper and that we could support.
I include a link to the Irish paper submitted at the end of 2010 here.
Comment by Anne Katrin Werenskiold on February 24, 2011 at 4:42pm The EARMA ERA-Working group has started its activities with the preparation of the upcoming seminar "The European Research Landscape and the Innovation Union" to be held on March 2, 2011, in Brussels.
The last session of this seminar will be dedicated to the discussion of the Commission's Green Paper [LINK]. With this we want to initiate an EARMA-internal dialogue resulting in the preparation of an official EARMA response to the Green Paper, in the consultation ending 20 May 2010.
In individual groups the four main areas covered by the Green paper will be addressed:
1. Working together to deliver on Europe 2020
2. Tackling societal challenges
3. Strengthening competitiveness
4. Strengthening Europe's science base and the European Research Area
We hope to see you there and for a lively discussion with all the participants to the seminar!
How you can get further involved in that process will be prepared by the EARMA Working Group on the European Research Area (ERA-WG), and communicated to members in the following weeks.
