Membership of EARMA

Membership of EARMA is open to Research Managers and Administrators from all career levels, from newcomers to research administration, to senior level managers. Membership is also applicable to all aspects of Research Management and Administration, whether you are working in academic, public research institutions, in research and technology organizations, or in industry.

The membership year runs from 1 January to 31 December.

There are two forms of EARMA membership. You can join either as an individual (Ordinary) Member or as an Institutional Member. Institutional Membership enables up to 10 members of staff working in a particular research organisation to access EARMA and its services.

Institutional Members can nominate up to 10 separate people from their organisation to receive EARMA benefits. However, they must also indicate one contact person to liaise with EARMA. They are entitled to send one representative to vote at the annual General Assembly. Any person from an Institutional Member, who participates in meetings or training courses organised by EARMA, is entitled to pay the discounted fee reserved for Members.

Current membership fees are:

  • € 180 for Ordinary Membership
  • € 790 for Institutional Membership

There are currently about 300 Ordinary and 80 Institutional members of EARMA, linked to a wider network of over 1,000 people engaged in research management and administration throughout Europe. An analysis of the current membership profile can be downloaded below.
