The Scientific Research Council of the European Research Council (ERC) have recently issued two Strategy Notes concerning their Launch Strategy and their proposed Starting Independent Research Grants (you can download both below). A preliminary EARMA response has also been issued (see below).
These are issues which many European research managers and administrators will be involved in, in the coming years of Framework 7. EARMA would like to invite your comments on these documents, and what they may mean for European research in the future. Please send your comments to
with the e-mail subject heading 'ERC Consultation', before 16 June 2006. EARMA will collate your responses and feed them back to the appropriate organisations.
