A new ERA in European Research: Contribute – Influence – Change

2011 Annual Conference will be held in Braganca, Portugal 22-23 June.(Preconference 21 June, EARMA Policy Forum 24 June

Introduction
The 17th Annual Conference of the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA) will take place at Braganca (link ) from 20th - 23rd June 2010. The main Conference workshops and sessions will take place on  22 and  23 of June.

The main theme of the Conference is ”A new ERA in European Research: Contribute – Influence – Change” and the event will consider how modern research managers can contribute to this aim.

Draft Programme
Although still in the early stages of planning, the Conference programme will consist of plenary and keynote lectures, as well as a wide variety of parallel workshops and sessions dealing with many practical aspects of research management and administration. The programme this year is divided into three subject ‘tracks’, and aims to cover the following:

FP7 management and Finance: 7 financial rules, full costing, certification, timesheets, and audits

Research Office Services – models of research office support structures, project management, and adding value to proposals

Research Strategy & Policy – funding strategies, industry-university collaborations, and building research capacity

Further details concerning the Conference programme, exhibition, social events, and registration process will be released in the coming weeks and will become available on the EARMA conference website.

Please note, that the conference is open to the members of EARMA. If you are not already a member, you are encouraged to become a member either as an individual or as an institutional member: see the application form.
