New Agreement with INSME

I am pleased to inform you that EARMA has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with INSME (the International Network for SMEs).  This signifies the importance EARMA members assign to improving links between universities and SMEs.  Initially the agreement is primarily to share information, but could lead to more exciting developments as we head to Horizon 2020.

I am writing to you on behalf of a group of research administrators from the University of Copenhagen to bring issues with the practical workshop on “Optimising Income Generation in Higher Education and Research Institutions” on January 31st to February 1st, 2013 to your attention. Six research administrators from the University of Copenhagen attended the workshop, which was organised by the European Academy for Taxes, Economics and Law.

 

According to the program the workshop participants would gain knowledge in the following areas:

 

  • Identify new funding sources and optimise your income generation – secure the success, quality and reputation of your institution
  • Boost your knowledge on contract research – become and expert in research commercialisation opportunities

GENOVATE FP7-funded action research project

GENOVATE is a FP7-funded action research project which operates across seven European partner universities with different institutional and national contexts for gender equality. The GENOVATE project seeks to implement strategies for the transformation of organizational structures towards more gender-competent management.

 

We are glad to have EARMA as a collaborator in this four-year project. The consortium include:

 

-University of Bradford, UK (coordinator)

-University College Cork, Ireland

-Luleå University of Technology, Sweden

-Ankara University, Turkey

-University of Naples, Italy

-Tranava University, Slovakia

-University of Madrid, Spain
